These industry leaders discussed the characteristics needed by today’s data leaders to develop effective data environments that drive growth. By creating a strategy that takes a holistic approach to the computational and logical elements that power data capabilities, data teams can operate with accurate information about their data at all times, which enables business leaders to make more informed decisions that can lead to significant growth.

The group’s collective background and experience were on display as they looked closely at the topic of the role of data in organizations, and how to create the most effective strategy for deploying data resources to solve important, enterprise-wide issues. The group discussed the intersection of the different business units affected by data and how data discovery in one area can lead to positive impacts in things like revenue generation, governance, customer satisfaction, and operations.

Each of the participants drew from a long history of transformational projects and addressed their impact in terms of helping their organizations grow and scale through the effective use of data. They encountered a variety of challenges along the way and were candid about how these were tackled but spoke specifically to the impacts of data quality and reliability and how those were so impactful in their overall business success.
